In this concert, a quartet of IRIS Orchestra Artist Fellows will perform influential works by African-American and Latinx
composers such as Samuel Coleridge-Taylor, Florence Price, José Ignacio Quintón, and
many others. By performing music by lesser known composers of color, IRIS Orchestra Fellows hope to change
the image of classical music and inspire future generations. Please join us in creating
awareness on the issue of underrepresentation of minorities in classical music and in the
important mission of promoting diversity in the arts.
This is a Free concert, but reservations are required.
Special thanks to IRIS Orchestra for bringing this wonderful opportunity to the Morton Museum
